Cosmetic Dentistry

A beautiful smile stays in style.

You’re never fully dressed without one, they’re the curves that set everything straight, and they have the ability to light up a room—so what happens if you don’t love your smile?

Cosmetic dentistry is about much more than aesthetics.

The way you feel about your smile impacts other aspects of your life.

What makes a beautiful smile?

The answers may vary a little depending on whom you ask, and while beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the most common answers remain: straight and bright white teeth. But very few people win the genetic jackpot and possess both.

Smile design can help

  • Smile design is a completely customized makeover plan that can include multiple treatments.
  • Everyone develops stains, but they can be lifted with whitening or veneers.
  • Veneers or bonding can help smooth chips and fill gaps.
  • Gum contouring can remove excess tissue to reveal more of your crowns.

You don’t have to stick with a smile you’re not happy with!

Lumineers®

For a luminous smile

Maybe you’re familiar with veneers because lots of celebrities have had their smiles beautified with them, but they’re not just for the silver screen! They can fix an array of smile concerns with one procedure, and at Delaware Dental Solutions, we place Lumineers®!

What are Lumineers?

  • Lumineers are ultra-thin, highly translucent porcelain sheets.
  • One of the biggest benefits of Lumineers is that they’re minimal or even no-prep!
  • You can smooth chips, fill gaps, and get a bright white smile with Lumineers.
  • Lumineers are stain-resistant and strong, but don’t slack on your oral hygiene regimen!

Get a smile you love showing off.

If you take good care of your teeth, they will take good care of you, too. Getting a cosmetic dentistry treatment can motivate you to take even better care of your smile, and to share it more freely.

Teeth age as we do, so the accumulation of stains is natural—but you can lift them.

Zoom! Professional Whitening System

Zoom!® for fast whitening

Philips Zoom! is the #1 requested professional whitening brand, and that’s what we carry and use in our practice. Years of accumulated stains can be lifted in just one in-office treatment. Reveal a dazzling smile up to 8 shades lighter with Zoom!

Benefits of professional whitening

  • You can skip trying products that don’t give you a noticeable difference.
  • Philips Zoom! whitening has been clinically shown to produce less (or no) sensitivity.
  • Relax in the chair, and after just 45 minutes, you’ll leave with a brighter smile.
  • To keep your smile gleaming, you can use take-home treatments, too.

If you’re dreaming of veneers but can’t commit yet, bonding might be for you.

Smoothing rough edges

Bonding is a procedure that can be done for one tooth or multiple teeth. We use a composite resin (the same durable material used for tooth-colored fillings) to fill gaps, smooth chips, and whiten a bit—with very minimal prep, if any at all!

What bonding entails

  • First, we’ll apply the tooth-colored resin to the tooth or teeth you’ve selected.
  • After it’s in place and molded as needed, we’ll harden it with a special light.
  • Bonding is quick! The treatment is usually completed within 30 minutes to an hour.
  • To keep the resin strong, avoid chewing ice, your fingernails, or any other objects!

The smile you’ve dreamt of can be your reality.

Your first step is giving us a call! We’d love to discuss your goals, help you select the right treatments for your smile, and give you estimates. What are you waiting for?

We have solutions for you, too, if you love your teeth but not your gums.

Gum contouring

If one or more of your teeth are hiding under an excess of gum tissue, we can help reveal more of your beautiful crowns with the simple process of contouring. This procedure can be done on selected teeth to make your smile appear more uniform.

How & why we shape gums

  • We can remove excess gum tissue with our laser for a quick, effective procedure.
  • Excess gum tissue can interfere with other cosmetic and restorative treatments.
  • The gum tissue removed will not grow back—they will hold their new shape.
  • As your mouth heals, be gentler than usual while brushing and flossing.

Fall in love with your smile!
