Technology & Products

For your comfort & convenience.

Scheduling your twice-yearly dental visits might feel like a chore, but with advanced technology and effective products, they can be simple and satisfying items to check off your list!

Advanced technology gives us clearer pictures and better outcomes.

When you’ve got all the necessary keys, you can unlock your smile’s potential.

3D Imaging with CBCT

CBCT is the abbreviation for Cone Beam Computed Tomography, and this scanner allows us to create digital impressions and 3D models that make treatment planning more precise and comfortable. Scanning is non-invasive, painless, and eliminates the need for messy impressions.

CBCT Benefits

  • CBCT scans make restorative, surgical, and cosmetic dentistry treatment plans more precise.
  • Your bones, nerves, soft tissue, and teeth show more clearly in CBCT scans.
  • Clearer images help us detect problems in their early stages.
  • We’re able to share what we see with you, helping you understand your dental needs.

The most advanced technologies also increase safety.

Digital X-Rays

Reducing radiation exposure

When it comes to x-rays, which require exposure to radiation, dentists operate under the ALARA principle, which stands for “As Low As Reasonably Achievable”. X-rays are essential to see things we can’t with our eyes alone, but we make every effort to reduce exposure.

Digital x-ray benefits

  • Digital x-rays decrease radiation exposure without sacrificing image clarity.
  • Your digital x-rays can be taken from the comfort of the dental chair.
  • We use magnetic aprons to limit exposure, capturing only what we need to see.
  • Digital x-rays show us the health of your enamel, teeth, restorations, and jawbone.

Put your best smile forward.

You can count on advanced technology to make your visits more comfortable and convenient, but it can also empower you to make better decisions for your oral and overall health. If you’re ready to improve your oral health, contact us today!

Even more imaging

You might think CBCT scanners and digital x-rays would suffice when it comes to collecting images of your teeth, tissues, bones, and nerves, but they’re all about what’s beneath the surface. Intraoral cameras provide us with clear images of the visible surfaces of your mouth.

Intraoral cameras

  • Intraoral cameras take surprisingly clear photos for being about the size of a pen!
  • The images taken by intraoral cameras can be magnified up to 25 times.
  • Magnification can help us spot small problems before they progress.
  • A record of clear images allows us to detect changes between visits.

Lasers are hard to beat for a thorough, infection-zapping clean.

Laser Dentistry

Minimally invasive methods

Laser technology has been around for decades and used in dentistry since 1994, but they still seem futuristic and revolutionary because of their versatility and successful treatment outcomes. At Delaware Dental Solutions, we use them to provide cleanings and gum disease treatment.

Laser cleanings & treatments

  • Laser cleanings zap bacteria from teeth and gingival pockets.
  • Lasers eliminate the need for drills, which can mean anesthesia isn’t necessary either.
  • Without the use of a drill, more healthy tooth structure remains.
  • There is less bleeding when lasers are used, and recovery times are shorter.

Could you benefit from a laser cleaning?

Dental cleanings are usually recommended twice per year, but if you have gum disease, you may require more frequent cleanings. Laser cleanings can make fighting gum disease a breeze. To find out if we’d recommend them for you, contact us today!

Consider another one of your dental fears conquered.

“Painless” dental injections

If you’re in need of restorative dentistry, there’s a good chance you’ll require local anesthetic to numb your nerves throughout the procedure, and for a while afterward. But local anesthetic requires an injection, and we’d like to prevent any discomfort from the injection.

Topical anesthetic

  • Applying a topical anesthetic to the site we’ll inject local anesthetic can prevent discomfort.
  • After applying dental anesthetic with a swab, we’ll let it sit for a few minutes.
  • We’ll ask if you’re numb before we administer the local anesthetic.
  • The numbing of local anesthetic takes longer to wear off than topical anesthetic.

Boost the power of your oral hygiene routines with proven products!
